How verification works

Last updated 27 September 2026

Every double on reelwith belongs to a real person who set it up themselves. Here is how we make sure of it, and how you stay in control afterwards.

1. Only you can start your double

A double is set up in its own setup session, separate from making reels. The person in the double runs that session on their own phone. Nobody can upload someone else's photos and turn them into a double.

2. A few short captures

Two photos, front and side. Thirty seconds of your voice. A ten second clip of you turning slowly. About three minutes in total, and you can stop and come back.

3. A live check

Next, a short live check on your camera confirms you are a real person, present right now, and the same person as in your photos. It is run by our verification partner, BytePlus. We keep only the result, the date and a reference number, not the check video.

4. Your double is ready

Once you pass, your double can say what you write. Every reel shows a preview first, and nothing is posted unless you say so.

Staying in control

Manage my double

See every reel your double is in, who you have allowed to use it, and pause or withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing stops new reels straight away and deletes your setup files.

Letting others use it

A teammate, agency or collaborator can ask to use your double. You approve each request, choose whether you check their reels first, and can take permission back whenever you like.

We may ask again

If something looks off, or a long time has passed, we may ask you to repeat the live check before your double can be used again.

If someone used your face

If you think a double of you was made without your permission, report it here. You do not need an account. We pause the double while we look into it, usually within 24 hours.
