Acceptable use
Last updated 27 September 2026
A double is a person's face and voice. These rules exist so that everyone in a reel chose to be there.
Always
- Use only your own double, or one whose owner has allowed you to use it through reelwith.
- Check every reel before posting it.
- Follow the rules of the platforms you post to, including their labels for made or edited video where they ask for it.
Never
- Set up a double of someone else, or try to get past verification with photos, recordings, masks or another person.
- Make reels that pretend to be a public figure, official, brand or organisation you do not represent.
- Make a double of, or reels involving, anyone under 18.
- Make sexual or nude content of anyone.
- Make reels that harass, threaten, defame or bully a real person.
- Make hateful content, or content that promotes violence or self harm.
- Make reels meant to mislead people about elections, health, money or emergencies.
- Use reels for fraud, scams, fake endorsements or fake testimonials.
- Put words in a double's mouth that its owner has not agreed to, including by editing reels outside reelwith and presenting them as approved.
- Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, overload or resell the service.
What happens if rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we remove the reel, pause the double, suspend the account, or close it. For anything that puts someone in danger or breaks the law, we may also report it to the authorities.
Report something
If you see a reel that breaks these rules, or someone is using your face or voice, tell us here. You do not need an account.
